How You Living?
Life is precious. It is as fragile as a daisy in the path of a hurricane. Life is completely intangible yet you can feel it pulsing through you and everyone around you. We tell people they are full of life and we also say some people lived a full life. We sometimes look at celebrities and say that they have the life. Life is the greatest currency. If you are alive and happy and enjoying life you are as rich as any millionaire. Some spend their life as a martyr. They blame all their short comings on other things on other people. People sometimes choose to not be there when life passes them by. TV is not life if you are capable of movement. Life owes none of us anything but we owe it everything. Whether life comes from a god of some form or is just a complicated scientific process it is a miracle and should not be taken for granted.
I ask this. Do you tell your lover, your child, your friend, your pet, your parents you love them? Is there a person you want to talk to but lose the nerve to do so? Do you spend time with the ones you love? Do you work to live not live to work? Do you take the time to do for yourself as well as others? Most of us do not do these things (at least not all of them) but what will you miss or regret when you or someone close to you is gone? Don’t let others drag you drown even if they love you. Sometimes the ones that love you the most hurt you the most. As the saying goes, “….let them free. If they love you they will come back to you”. My main point is while you fret over others life ticks away. Please live your live for yourself sometimes, remember others and care for others but you can be more effective in caring for others when you are effective and loving yourself and enjoying your life. Your gift.
Today Amy Winehouse died. She joins a long list of people who were talented and died at 27. If you are older than 27 think of what you would have missed after 27 had you joined the “Forever 27 Club”. Live your life for you, your closest family and friends. Life does not wait for you so leave no regrets and spend little time fighting and pining for something that just zaps you of energy and life. Live on brothers and sisters and I love you all.
